{ The beautiful beach in Mozambique }

Being in South Africa is definitely one of the interesting and unforgettable memories that I will treasure forever. When hubby and I were there, we tried to visit places like Mozambique if possible. After all, it’s not all the time we get a chance to visit this side of the globe. It was May so the weather was pretty hot. Going to the beach with friends for three days and two nights was perfect. The road trip from where we used to live (Pretoria) to Mozambique was about nine hours’ drive. Before entering Mozambique, we stopped at the border line to get tourist visa. It probably took about one hour to get our entire passports stamp one by one. There were nine of us. Fortunately, we didn’t encounter any major problems during the process. :)

We also had to change our South African money to Mozambique currencies. I did not expected that. Lol! That’s the time I found out that Mozambique is a whole different country.  Hahah we sure do learn something new every day. ;) Moving on, the beach was very quiet and peaceful. There were no people there besides us. Although once in a while we see kids and fishermen walking by but other than that, no other tourists but us.

These fishermen came up to us trying to sell this big fish that they caught. Since we decided not to buy the fish, I went ahead and took a picture with them and the fish. Lol! Might as well. :) Although we hardly understand them, they were very nice. We did, however, had someone with us that is South African who helped us translate everything.

Mozambique is definitely one of those hidden paradise that needs more exposure so people/tourists get to see and experience what this place has to offer. Our experience was great! Day or night the place was peaceful.

Here are some of the photos I took when we were there :)

These are the cottages we stayed in when we were there. All separated from one another.
