{ Memorial Day Weekend || Lady in Pink }

Memorial Day trip at Perkins Cove, Maine

Howdy, Bloggers! How was your weekend? Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day. :) My friends on Facebook have been posting their Memorial Day events and it looks like everyone did something special yesterday with their loved ones. That’s terrific! Me, on the other hand, I haven’t been feeling good for the past two days so hubby and I stayed home this Saturday and Sunday. The weather was not that good either, it was raining and overcast. But yesterday, thankfully, I felt so much better and the weather was somewhat on a sunny side. Yesterday, to celebrate Memorial Day hubby and I went to take a trip back to our favorite place in Maine, at Perkins Cove. Going there for Memorial Day was already our plan before I got sick. I'm just thankful everything went well just like as planned. :)

The tulips are in full bloom! I love this time of year when everything is looking so perfect! :) Scenery like this always makes me feel good even if I'm not feeling good. There's something to say about being surrounded by water and flowers, boats and loved ones. Makes you appreciate life even more. ;)

And speaking of perfect, I’m loving my new lace-up pink sneakers from Payless! Very cute and girly! Just bought them the other weekend when I was out with friends and I couldn’t wait to wear them, so finally yesterday was the day! Hahah ^_^ I knew there would be a lot of walking on our trip yesterday and these shoes are perfect for that.

The weather wasn't perfect but it was nice enough nonetheless. As always, hubby and I walked the Marginal Way, a seaside path that stretches along the granite coastline of Ogunquit, ME. We’ve walked there before and it was fun. The second time was just as fun. It was a pretty long hike from the beginning to end, but hubby and I never got the chance to see the end of that path. Lol! We often stop and enjoy the view and each other's company instead. ;) That's always a good thing. Great view. Great company. What else can I ask for? :)

Back to my fashion-post:

I was wearing my blue jeans that I bought from the Philippines and paired it with pink and grey stripe hi-lo tank top. However, what type of purse to carry was a bit of an issue to me yesterday. For the life of me, I couldn't decide which purse I would want to carry and that will also go nicely with my outfit. My tote Guess bag was already out of my closet (sitting next to Hubby's computer desk) with all my stuff in it still because last weekend with friends, I used it to go to the mall. So I decided to go for it again. Lol! My Guess tote-bag, a life saver or am I just that lazy?! Lol Either way, it was huge (it's a beach bag) and stylish at the same time so I thought, why not?! Besides, it's made with plastic so if ever it started to rain, my things inside are secured. ;)

I also brought my light pink cardigan in case I get cold. The gold toned necklace is from Charlotte Russe. This overall look is perfect for Spring and Summer, or whenever the weather is on a bit chilly side. The combination of pink on this outfit is really cute! ;) Who says that only teenagers can wear pink?.. I'm 27, married, and I still love wearing pink! Hahah What can I say, I just love the look of pink on me. ;) We all have favorite colors and this one happened to be one of mine. I like red and orange too, it brings out my skin toned. ;)

Most times, women knows exactly what type of style they want the public to see, gothic, chic, boyish, etc. Me, on the other hand, I don't really have a style. I kind of dress however I want to dress. It’s not always girly, it's not always on a cute side, sometimes sophisticated, sometimes sexy or a very lady like look. I guess it all depends whatever my mood is. Depends on the weather and occasions, too. ;) That said, don't worry if you don't know what type of fashion style you are, yet. Just go with what you think is right for you. It may change often but that's OK. That's the beauty of trying on new things.. you learn as you go. We find what we like and don't like. Just enjoy! Dress up often! And find that style that makes you feel .. YOU! That's the most important thing. ;)
